Adidas debuts 'Future City' Store Concept in China
A franchise store concept to propel growth
adidas is the leading sportswear retailer in China, by number of stores. Having a robust franchise model and retail partner network - the local adidas team desired a new franchise store concept to elevate their market share and propel demand in the lower-tier cities, were growth is thriving.
To capitalise on this strategic growth opportunity, we collaborated with adidas to develop a highly-commercial and future-proofed franchise store concept - with a laser focus on the consumer needs and mindsets in T4 and T5 cities.
This locally-bespoke store format presents sport through the lens of style, with key design features including a centralised cross-merchandised style catwalk, overtly-energised changing rooms and a 'box-fresh' aesthetic across the façade and retail interior design. Elevating sportswear as fashion to drive heightened consumer demand. The concept has been so successful with franchise partners, over 160 stores featuring the new franchise store concept have opened already - with over 350 targeted by the end of 2024.
